Welcome to Paradise (Blog Post #2)

Picture this: Its about 70 degrees, a warm breeze flows through your hair, you dig your toes into warm sand as you watch the clear, blue waves hit shore. Doesn't that sound heavenly? What is this place and where can you find it? Its the Bahamas! The Bahamas can be located north of Cuba and southeast of Florida. The Bahamas consists of more than 700 islands! Its a beautiful place for a relaxing vacation. If you want to visit but are scared of a language barrier, don't be! The official language of the Bahamas is English!

Traveling to the Bahamas!

1. First thing you have to do is get a plane ticket to the Bahamas! 
2. When traveling to paradise, why not stay at Riu Palace on Paradise Island.
3. The Bahamas is a beautiful place to travel to. There is so much to see and do! Just a recommendation, but here are the top 3 places to go:
1. Since you're staying on Paradise Island, why not explore it! Its called Paradise Island for a reason, might as well find out why!
2. Visit Pig beach! This beach is located in Exuma. It gets its lovely name from the fact that it is populated by pigs!
3. Discover Atlantis! The resort has a water park which spans 141 acres! 
4.  Here's a little checklist of the top 3 things I would recommend to do: 
1. Jeep Safari Tour: you get to drive a jeep while following a guide and see the beauty of the island.
2. Dolphin Encounters: allows people to engage with a Bottlenose Dolphin!
3. Scuba Diving: why stay on land when you can discover what the ocean has to offer?
5. To begin this adventure, you have to plan it! There are many packages that include flights and hotels! I found one through cheapcaribbean.com for about $1,825 per person for 5 days and 4 nights. Keep in mind that it doesn't include a visa or a passport! A visa to the Bahamas costs about $160 and a passport typically costs $110. So the total trip would cost $2,095!
